Dr Oscar Cumming

After finishing medical school through UNE in 2014, I completed two years of JMO training in the Hunter New England LHD followed by a year of hospital paediatrics at Hornsby. I then returned to Newcastle, attained Fellowship of the RACGP, and have since practiced at Kotara Family Practice.

I work across the breadth of scope of general practice, with particular interest in paediatrics and adolescents, men’s health, mental health, ageing, obesity management, and complex chronic diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

I am a firm believer in the central role GPs play in achieving the best possible health outcomes for our community, as well as the incredible value provided by a highly skilled and well resourced primary care sector led by GPs.

Outside of General Practice, I have been a Principal Investigator at Novatrials since 2020 and have conducted Phase I-IV clinical trials across a wide range of medical fields.

Dr Oscar looks forward to continuing the care of his existing patients and warmly welcoming new patients to Parry Street Family Practice.
